The 2011 Zeitgeist Media Festival's Global Event, enabled a socially conscious Arts and Media platform across 20 countries, accessing about 10,000 people in person and almost 200,000 via free, live webcasts. In LA, and across the world, this inaugural event was a notable success.
Coupled with the festival's Global Food Drive Initiative via The Zeitgeist Movement's ongoing "Z-Drive", over 12,000 meals were facilitated through regional Food Banks to feed the ever-growing poor and starving population.
The event was captured in HD Video and as things get edited they are being posted on the Media Festival page & YouTube Channels.

"Facts are the central exhibit of the scientific method. They are obscured by mystics, spellbinders, theologians, spiritualists, Herr Goebbels, the pain and beauty advertisers, the formal logicians, the backers of the tortoise against Achilles. Around the fact the fakers throw their verbal smoke. But ultimately the fog lifts. It must lift. We are creatures of a world of stubborn and unyielding facts. On their recognition and correct interpretation depends our existence as a species. We cannot live on lies, fantasies, and propaganda"

Science provide us with some of the most elegant, stimulating puzzles that life has to offer. It throws some of the most provocative ideas into our arenas of moral debate... I love science, and it pains me to think so many are terrified of the subject or feel that choosing science means that you cannot also choose compassion, or the arts, or be awed by nature. Science is not meant to cure us of mystery, but to reinvent and reinvigorate it.
