The 4th Annual Zeitgeist Day ("ZDAY") Global Awareness Event is fast approaching.
As one of the most pivotal awareness actions we conduct, ZDAY has historically been a great public awareness success with an average of 350 events occurring across 60 countries each year since 2009.
ABOUT:
For those new to The Zeitgeist Movement, ZDAY is an activist awareness day hosted by TZM Chapters that takes place in the middle of March of each year. The goal is to increase public awareness of The Zeitgeist Movement and what it means to have a sustainable social model. If you are not familiar with the tenets and goals of The Zeitgeist Movement please see the following information:
What is the Zeitgeist Movement?
2012 Date: March 10th. (This is ideal, but you may adjust as needed, as close to the date as you can get.)
The nature and scale of an event in your region is up to your Chapter and your resources. It can be as simple as screening a notable educational video in a library with a Q&A for a few hours, giving a lecture or hosting a lecture series for the day, or having a large scale multidimensional expression over the course of several days. The goal is to bring the ideas of TZM into your local community for consideration.

MAIN EVENT:
Each year, one location is set for a central focus and this event tends to be the largest and most noted in the Media. Free Live Webcasts occurring as well. In 2009 and 2010 it took place in New York City, USA ; In 2011 it was in London, UK ; and for 2012 it will be in Vancouver BC Canada.

Submissions will be accepted starting Feb 1st. Please make sure you and your Chapter understand the requirements. This gives you about 2 months from now to secure a venue and promote. Again, please see the Event Help Page for guidance.

In 2009, we had over 450 events in over 70 countries. These events were well documented by news agencies across the world, including the New York Times in America. An archive list of these events can be found HERE.
A Zeitgeist Day Event can take many forms, ranging from a simple showing of DVD media like Zeitgeist: Addendum to prerecorded lectures by Meadows, Joseph or Fresco; to interactive question-and-answer events with Chapter Organizers in various regions, giving their own unique presentations.
While it is not required to be in a regional Zeitgeist Movement Chapter to have an event, it is recommended. To find a Chapter in your area, please check HERE. Generally speaking, we encourage each Chapter to help organize events in their region. This is not a requirement, however.
